are two (rather cliche) examples of the many, many british things i love. towards the top of that list lie some great tv as well - doctor who, for example, and bbc adaptations of jane austen's novels. oh, and their use of the word "brilliant." this post contains icons from harry potter and the sorcerer's stone, doctor who's christmas special "the runaway bride," and their highly enjoyable (imho) ITV miniseries "lost in austen."

firstly i'd like to apologise to those on my f-list who submitted caps for my first round of interest icons/icon requests*, as it took me far longer to create the final icons than i expected. but here they are, and hopefully they were worth the wait! secondly you'll notice this post is a lot more than just interest icons; while i was working on those i also iconed veronica mars episode 2x16 "the rapes of graff," and the kiera knightely pride and prejudice film. so i'm posting those here as well.

Icons today are from a couple different buffy episodes (what's my line and bad eggs, though mostly real me), from firefly's the message, and from the amazing BBC adaptation of jane eyre. not too related, but i'm gonna continue to champion the amazing but underwatched Pushing Daisies... it's on abc wednesdays at 8:00 and i do think it's one of the best things on tv right now. the ratings have been slipping and there have been rumors of cancelation, so if you were at all interested in it now's the time to start watching...

ok, well, 2/3 of these icons are from movies that were written a while ago. and there won't be any more pushing daisies until next fall. but still, why should we let little things like these get us down? the writers are back at work, and potential future fandoms are being created as i type this very post. so, yes, writers writing is a lovely thing.
