i hope everyone is having a lovely summer; i know mine has kept me watching new (and old) tv shows and hanging out with friends and generally enjoying nicer weather. but another thing it's given me time to do is reflect a little more on my icons; as you can see this post contains icons from two "movies" (what do you guys count dr. horrible as?) that i've already iconed, but the difference between these and my last big beauty and the beast post, i think is pretty notable, and this time i made some dr. horrible quote icons and a few icons from the adorable dark horse penny comic, which i highly recommend. also included are a few broadway icons of various natures, icons from btvs season 7, and icons from season 2 of pushing daisies*. yay!

...might all be there in this post. (...except for firefly...yeah.) how neat is that? this includes icons from PUSHING DAISIES. which suddenly, horrifically, may be on the verge of being canceled. the season premiere (last week) got really bad viewership. i'm not one to shout "don't cancel my show!" to the rooftops, but pushing daisies is really fantastic, with great acting and directing and incredibly clever scripts, and i'd like to see it go far. for those who don't watch already, the season premiere, bzzzzz! (which you can watch instantly on abc.com) did enough summary to catch any newbies up to speed. so yes, i'm sorry for the long rant, but i thought i'd go ahead and get this one out of the way. so, yes, watch pushing daisies! wednesdays at 8:00 on abc!

so, as you can see by the header there, this icon post is full of good stuff- like icons from breakfast at tiffany's, waitress, and firefly. the first two are chick flicks, nathan fillion stars in the last two... funny how things overlap that way. anyhow, i'll say it again- i'm sorry for the crazy-long wait between icon posts! for the rest of the summer i think i'll be attempting smaller amounts of icons per posts, so you get updates more often.

icons today are from veronica mars season 2 (yes, these are those icons i mentioned working on a few weeks ago, and then giving up on, and now i just told myself i should go ahead and stop fussing and post. so we'll see how they go over.) and the firefly episode safe. so lots of simon/river-y goodness there.

Angel's not my favorite Joss Whedon show (in fact, out of all the amazingness, it might be my least favorite). But Angel + Buffy (seen here in season one's "I Will Remember You") is always a winner. In other icons, I have a few Flight of the Conchords (a HBO sitcom about New Zeland's "4th most popular parody folk duo") icons that make me smile.
